While
I'm Still Making $50 a Month?"

Thank you for this question. It's a question I get often
and is one where the answer is within the question.

First off, you can't make anyone believe anything. What
you do instead is get your prospect to exercise their
ability to evaluate a business. If a person can't or
doesn't know how to evaluate a business, they rely on
"what others have done."

I remember when I first started, it seemed as though
all my friends and family would ask, "How much are you
making?" I would say, "Not much yet." Then they would
say, "Well, when you're making something tell me and
I'll join you." Guess what? None of them joined me.

What I recommend you say when someone asks this question
of you is, "Thank you for the question. I'm curious, why
do you ask?" When they say they want to know so they can
decide whether they're going to do it or not, then say,
"I'm not the opportunity. The company, the products and
the trends are the opportunity. Is there anything about
those three items that I can explain better?"

Also know that there hasn't been a person ever in this
industry who didn't have this as an objection - because
everyone starts out making nothing. But thousands, if
not hundreds of thousands of people have allowed this
objection to stop them from pursuing their dreams in
network marketing. This goes along with last month's
newsletter about not allowing your prospect's comments
to change your view and decision about your business.

I hope this helps you handle this question,

Tim Sales

Why Would A Prospect Say Yes? Something To Think About!

Have you ever talked to some one and thought they would
be a great prospect for your business. You send them to
a website and set a time for you to get back with them
and they are never there?

Would you like to know what is the real reason why your
prospect is not there on the second call?

Well, there is a very specific reason this happens.

Every decision that people make are based on one single
thing:

Their desire to avoid pain or to gain pleasure.

Do you know which one is the stronger desire?

If you said “The desire to avoid pain” then you are
right.

Unless you can convey to the your prospect that the
pain of not starting their own business, is greater
than starting one, they are not going to go to the
next step.

What you want to do is while you have them on the
phone with you on the first call, to paint a big
enough picture for them to want to go to your
website or to take the next step in your sponsoring
process. And to be there when you call them back.

When you talk to your prospect find out what his/her
needs and wants are. Then based on that you can see
if he/she is a candidate to hear about the product or
about the business, or that he/she is not a prospect.
Then when you paint the big picture to them, include
in it what they just told you that they desired.
You will definitely make an impact on them.

I help people develop compelling presentations, which
motivate prospects to take action. By understanding
the language skills necessary to develop compelling
presentations, you will have more of your prospects
showing up for the second interview and you will get
more “Yes’s” and less No’s”.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://irresistiblemlmtips.blogspot.com/2006/06/why-would-prospect-say-yes-something.html' title='Why Would A Prospect Say Yes? Even if I can
turn the conversation back to questions the request generally
soon comes up again. To keep ignoring this is rude and can
sound evasive.

In my experience asking for literature is normally a way of
closing a conversation politely and what the caller really
means is that he/she is not interested but is too polite to
say so. But occasionally the request is genuine but that
then means I am presenting the solution too soon by sending
information.

Has Michael a solution to this challenge?

I agree with you. It's a mistake to ignore it as it can sound
rude and lose you more opportunities than you will gain,
especially if it is a genuine request.

On the other hand, another common mistake is to say yes to
them immediately and send literature without qualifying
WHY it is needed.

So the way to address it is to simply get an answer to the
basic qualifying "Why?" question.

Here are a few ways you can do that. Use them either together
or separately…

"To help me send the right information to you, what are you
specifically looking for to help you make your decision?"
or… "Can I ask why you want it?"

"How will that help you?"

"Will the literature determine your final decision or will
you be wanting other information as well?" If they say they
will need other things… follow on with "So as to help me
help you, what else will you need to help you make a final
decision?"

"Is there anything else you will need to help you make your
decision?"

"If you find what you are looking for, what do you see as
the next step?"

If it is a genuine request and you do send information, make
sure you hi-light the points and put tabs on the pages to
make it easy for them to find what they are looking for.
The return on time for doing this is that they will tend
to read the rest of it.

This is a good example of the use of Qualifying Questions.
Remember, the main purpose of qualifying is to make sure
you don't waste your time and the other person's if they're
not ready to make a change.

If the other person is simply stalling you, then that will
be apparent and you can end the conversation and move on.
In this case, if the request for information is a genuine
one, you confirm that and set the stage for the next step.

Either way, it's a positive result for you.

Qualifying is an essential part of the Discovering Stage.
There's more details about when and how to use it to best
effect in Chapter 12 (starting on page 213) of my book
"How To Sell Network Marketing Without Fear, Anxiety Or
Losing Your Friends!"

So, remember to qualify, especially if you're not sure
that the other person is genuinely interested. Your
dialogues will be smoother and more productive.

Have a peaceful and prosperous…
----------------------------------------------------

Best Selling Author of "How to Sell Network Marketing
Without Fear, Anxiety or Losing Your Friends!" -
Selling from the Soul. Can
you envision a reality where 20 to 30 people in your
word-of-mouth marketing circle carry your cards and have
them ready to hand to prospects they're actually qualifying
for you? I certainly can, and am excited every time I hear
someone say, "Let me give you my friend's business card;
oh, and by the way, may I have him (or her) give you a call?"

The business card is the most powerful single business
tool--dollar for dollar--you can invest in. It's compact,
energy-efficient, low-cost, low-tech, and keeps working for
you hours, weeks and even years after it leaves your hands!

Some of the things your business card does is:

Tell people your name and the name of your business Provide
prospects with a way to contact you Give others a taste of
your work, style and personality It can be so unusual or
attractive or strange or charming or funny that it sticks
in the memory like a great radio or television ad It can be
reused, as it passes from person to person, giving the same
message to each person who comes in contact with it

The two main functions of your card are to gain business
from the person you give it to and to get your name out
to other people with whom the first person comes in contact
with via referrals. With that in mind, let's take a look at
the most effective ways to use your business cards.

Make Your Cards Accessible in Every Situation In short,
don't leave home without them! It's a great idea to keep
a small box of your cards in your glove box, just in case
you find yourself in a situation where you need more
than you've carried in your pocket or purse. In addition
to my jacket pocket, I tuck them away in my briefcase,
wallet and computer bag, just to make sure I never run out.

Keep an eye on your supply. The time to reorder is before
you're in danger of running out.

In addition to being sure you have your cards on hand,
be sure that your networking partners always have your
cards. Check with them regularly to see if they need more,
and be ready to provide them with whatever quantity they
say they need in order to promote you.

Seek Situations to Exchange Business Cards There are many
opportunities in which you can pass on your card to
prospective clients and customers as well as referral
sources you wish to develop. Some are obvious; others
are not. Whenever you have a one-on-one meeting with
someone new or someone you haven't seen for a while,
give her your business card. At mixers and social
events, be sure you have plenty of cards when you go
in. These are good places to extend the reach of your
network.

Conventions and trade shows are another great venue
for exchanging business cards. The vendors at the trade
shows are anxious for you to take their card--don't
make that a one-way street. Be sure you give them your
card as well.

When you visit a non-competing business that might attract
the same people you would like to have as customers, ask
if you may leave a supply of cards to be handed out or
made available. In most cases, a business that's complementary
to your own is always looking for a networking partner.
An example would be a sports nutritionist leaving a stack of
cards at a martial arts studio. Be creative and consider
even bringing your own cardholder to leave out.

International meetings and events can provide an opportunity
to give out your business cards. Consider having your card
printed double-sided, with English on one side and the language
of the host country of the event on the other side.

Contacts at a Distance
Whenever you communicate with someone in writing, send a card
if it's appropriate to the occasion. Enclose several cards
in every packet of sales material you mail out. Along with
your thank-you note to the businessperson whose referral brought
you a major contract, include a business card to replace the
one she gave away, plus several more.

After any telephone call in which business was discussed, follow
up with a letter outlining the main points of your discussion
and include one or more of your cards. E-mail is a great way to
follow up, but a letter will actually allow you to include your
business cards.

Special Tricks of the Trade
When giving out your card, hand-write something on one copy,
such as your cell-phone number, a secondary e-mail address,
etc. This will give that particular card a greater chance of
being held onto. Be sure you give a couple of "clean" cards
to that person, as well, and ask your new friend to pass one
on to a potential customer.

After you get someone's card and have ended your time with
her, make notes on the back of the card to jog your memory
about something special that'll help you remember her. Don't
do that in front of her, or you run the risk of making the
impression that you are "forgetful." If you need to record
information immediately during your discussion, such as
telephone numbers or other data not on the card, use one of
your own cards. You don't want her to think you view her
card as scrap paper upon which to take notes.

At a restaurant, leave your card with the tip and write a
personal thank-you note on the back or pay the highway toll
for the Mercedes behind you, and leave your card for the
driver!

The main thing when handing out your card is to keep in mind
what an effective tool it can be. The Product Or The Business Opportunity?

Many people get involved in network marketing and are
not sure how to approach potential prospects. They
don't know what to say or what to present first: the
product or the business opportunity..Which comes first?

And the answer is....Sell people what they need and
want.

I know it sounds real simple. But how many times
do you talk to your prospect about your business
or about your product and they say that they are
not interested?

Let's say you are talking to someone and you find
out that he is having some health challenges that
your products can solve. Then you talk to him about
your health products.

If he feels that your products are going to solve
his problem, most of the time, he will buy.

Now let's say that you are talking to someone and
she mentioned that she would like to stay home with
her kids. You would start talking to her about your
business opportunity and how your business can
create the extra income she is looking for so that
she can stop working and stay home with her kids.

Again, if she feels that your business can solve
her problem, most of the time she will get involved.

Now let's reverse the two scenario. If you had
spoken about money with the gentleman who has
health issues and who is looking to solve his
problem, would he have been interested in your
offer?

Most probably not.

And if you had talked about your products to
the lady who wants to stay home and be with her
kids, would she have been interested in your
offer?

Probably not.

So the next time you are talking to your prospect,
find out what they want and need and sell what
they will pay for.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://irresistiblemlmtips.blogspot.com/2006/06/what-should-i-talk-about-first-product.html' title='What Should I Talk About First? I created a signature file that said:

I made $500.00 this week. Send me an email and I
will tell you how I did it.

I was getting 5-10 people on a daily basis contacting
me and asking me how.

Now you want to make sure your message is compelling
enough for people to click on it.

You don’t want to put something like:

Click here to go to my website. And then send them to
your company website. Please don’t do that!

What you want to do is send people to a landing page
or a personal page with some kind of offer, and where
you can capture their names and email addresses.

You can say something like:

Click here to get a free one week sample of my weight
loss products.

Click here to see my picture after I lost 20 lbs. and
how I did it.

Click here to get my Top 5 No And Low Cost Ways To
Direct Traffic To Your Website.

Click here to see a picture of this strange check I got
In my mail box last month (and that would be a copy
of your bonus check).

There are many ways that you can use your signature
file. Here are a couple of suggestions.

Include your email signature in every email you send
out.

Online forums – when replying to a post or creating
a post, create an interesting subject line that entices visitors
to read your post. Make it informative and of value. And
make sure that it contains your full website address

Try to keep your signature file to 6 lines maximum.

In Outlook Express, choose Tools-Options-Signatures-New
and write your email signature in the edit signature box.

If you want to create several email signatures in a notepad
file, then click the “File” radio button, and browse for signature
file. This makes it easy to edit any of your email signatures
in notepad and upload the edited version in Outlook Express.

To get the rest of these tips, made sure to fill out the form on
the left column of this page.

Is This Deadly Mistake Killing Your MLM Business?

I was talking to a friend today. I had called her to wish
her a happy birthday and as I was talking with her, she
was opening a package that she had received for a new
networking marketing business that she had just gotten
involved with.

As she was opening it, you know what she said to me?

"Pari you should join me in this buisness. This is a
product that everyone wants and needs and it practically
sells itself."

First of all how many products do you know that everyone
needs or wants and have you ever seen a product that has
legs and practically sells itself?

If products had legs and could sell themselves then the
network companies would not need a bunch of distributors
to do the marketing for them. They would put these
products in a warehouse and somehow these products
will sell themselves.

How many times do you hear people talk to prospect like this
when they are introducing them to the business? If you said
too many times, then you are right.

It is easy to say things like that when you are trying
to recruit someone. But what will you do if they bought
a bunch f products and put them in their garage and
expect the products to be sold by themselves?

No wonder so many people in network marketing end up
being garage qualified.
